Dog owners
If you live in our village or are a welcome visitor, please be considerate.
Dunure is a fantastic place to live and visit.
A large part of that is the pride we take in our village and the unspoiled nature which surrounds us.
Dog owners can contribute to that by responsible caring for their pet, its needs, and the needs of everyone else.
You’ll find water bowls for your dog on a hot day down by the harbour at the Harbourside Cafe, and other places around the village.
Please take the needs of others into consideration though, and be mindful of the responsibilities set out by the PDSA.

Harbour Dredging
Two days of dredging.
Two hundred tons of sand and silt!
In two days we successfully shifted 200 tons, clearing access to Dunure harbour for more vessels.
Work will be ongoing until the end of the week, Thursday or possibly Friday.
Thanks to our dedicated committee members whose countless hours of voluntary work make the progress around the harbour and the surrounding area possible.

Minutes of the Community Council Annual General Meeting for the year 2023-2024.
The minutes for the AGM covering the year 2024-25 will be published after the 2026 AGM, once approved.
The date of next year’s AGM will be Tuesday 21st April 2026. -

The first is the Dunure Community Council AGM, which is open for all in the community to attend.

2) Adoption of Minutes from last annual general meeting
3) Approval of Chairperson’s report
4) Approval of Treasurers submission of independently examined statement of accounts
5) Continuation of the scheme for establishment of community councils
6) Current office bearers step down.
7) Election of office bearers
8) Confirm that the constitution is signed by the chair and two other members of the community council.
9) Note appointment of community councillors to outside bodies
10) Appointment of an independent examiner of accounts for 2025-26
11) Note appointment of specialist Co-opted members
12) Review the inventory and additional resources
13) Date for the next AGM ~ 19th May 2026
14) Chair closes meeting
The second is the regular meeting of the newly refreshed Community Council. Again, all members of the community are welcome to attend.

Important Notice.
Dunure & Fisherton Community Council are actively seeking a solution to the present situation with the hall and park.We met with a representative of Thriving Communities, South Ayrshire Council on 12th May and hope to have an update in time for our next Community Council meeting on the 20th May.
The AGM of the Community Council is to be held on Tuesday 20th May.
